Laura K's Recap - Part Two Continued

Then someone - NOT ME - I think it was Tbone - suggested that we visit Tim's office. "Oh sure!" replied Pasquale, (as if he were planning on taking us there all along) "Tim says you can see anything you like!" (Okay - that was a paraphrase.) The hallway walls in the office suite are covered with vintage fashion illustrations. They are gorgeous. I would show you a picture but I didn't have my camera SINCE IT WAS IN DAN'S BACKPACK. Tim's office was impeccable of course. I had always wondered about the artwork that we see a glimpse of in the recent episodes of "Tim's Take." Well, the particular painting that I was wondering about is truly gorgeous. I would show you a photo... but... never mind... anyway....

We joked about sitting at his desk and I did - BAD LAURA! We spotted a thank you note from Debra Messing. We did not open his calendar or any drawers I promise. Pasquale kept his eagle eye on us at all times!

Parsons was fascinating - I can imagine that it would be a wonderful learning environment - right in the heart of the Fashion District in New York City....except for the scary dress forms in the corner of the large studio.....

From Parsons we headed for Mood. I wasn't sure how many would appreciate a fabric store, but I knew I would. We gave ourselves the challenge to find "the fabric that Daniel V used in the Social Scene challenge" - we quickly gave up....We interviewed the owner, Jack, and he told us that there are plans for another show kind of like Project Runway but for home decor. They will be shopping at Mood too, in the new decorator fabric department which is just about ready to open to the public. We also asked Jack to explain the difference between silk charmeuse, silk chiffon and other kinds of silk fabric. SEE - this tour was educational.

Meanwhile we spotted a designer with a portfolio at one of the cutting tables. His name was Vaughn and he was trying out for Project Runway the next day! He showed us his designs and they were very nice - Hi Vaughn!

Several of our members made purchases and we headed for Red Lobster for lunch. Dianne made sure we arrived on time. We were joined by Jessie and Rubab at Red Lobster but we lost C.B. so we had a total of 25. And who else showed up? For food? I'll let you guess.

It was so nice to be able to sit down and get to know one another. BPR readers are fun, bright and opinionated. Although we are diverse in age and appearance, we were united in spirit by our common affection for our favorite show. It was a delicious meal. I had coconut shrimp. But the best was yet to come...
