How do I get on Project Runway?
Bravo makes an announcement on their website that they are casting for the next season. This is the link for casting for all of their shows (not just Project Runway) so bookmark this page and check it frequently. Typically Project Runway auditions are held in LA, Chicago, Miami and New York.
How did BPR start?
Laura K. knew no one that watched her favorite show, Project Runway. She decided to start a blog just to talk to other fans and to promote the program. Shortly after that, Manolo the Shoeblogger mentioned Blogging Project Runway in his own superfantastic blog and suddenly BPR had a following. As the readership grew and more news came in, Laura K. found she needed help. She turned to BPR readers Tbone and The Scarlett to help with the Party Posts, Live-Blogging and the 'Recapalooza' as well as the graphics. Later PhotoShop demi-god Phaolo joined the team. BPR continues to depend upon its readers for news as well as a lively discussion about the show.
Why aren't we allowed to put links in the comments?
Soon after BPR was created we realized that the comments could potentially be an advertising source for spammers. However, very early one Sunday morning, when a malicious person thought that no one would be monitoring the comments, we had someone link to a fake site that promised news about Jay McCarroll. If you followed the link, you were led to a porn site that contained a computer virus that could not be removed. Rather than allowing links in the comments we urge our readers to send us an email about any news they think would be of interest.
Why aren't we allowed to use any language we d*** well please?
Laura K. is a mother to five children; Tbone and The Scarlett are also parents. We wouldn't want to tell our kids that they had to avoid reading this site, especially since so much time is spent working on it. We also feel that anything worth saying can be said without the use of profanity. We have heard from many, many readers that they appreciate this policy.
How can I get a link exchange with BPR?
First of all, become an active reader of BPR. Comment frequently and/or tell us Project Runway news. Then, after you have an established readership on your own site, let us know that you have an interest in a link. Another way is to join our Recapalooza with a well-written, perhaps humorous recap of an episode of Project Runway and then email us a link.
We don't do link exchanges with unestablished websites. Period.
How can I advertise on BPR?
Write to us and we'll tell you the procedure and the fees.
Why does it take so long for BPR to load on my computer?
It could be your browser. It could be your computer. Or it could be your internet connection. Our content is image-rich and and often is updated several times per day during the Project Runway season. If you're still using dial-up (why?), you can expect slow loading from any site that features photos and videos; please consider an upgrade!
If you notice that BPR suddenly takes longer to load than usual, drop us a line; we may have unknowingly added something recently that make the connection hang too long. We might be able to make an adjustment (such as putting that particular content on our 'second page') in order to optimize BPR for our readers.
