Glory's Report from Project Dahl

Hi, Folks!

Alison's show was a treat! Here's my "report":

Walking through snow & ice along Crosby Street in Soho, NY, I came to a gallery window where two models glowed like jewels with the flowing sculpture that signals an Alison Kelly dress. Alison is just as gorgeous in person & yes, she is NICE. Bedecked in a butterscotch, black & ivory creation (butterscotch shift, black straps & her signature crochet necklace-collar in ivory), Alison has a naturalness that makes you feel as though you're talking with the girl next door (Alison revealed that she doesn't own a TV & has seen only two episodes of PR's 3rd season!). Models glided through the gallery crowd in short dresses that seemed like gowns, given Alison's construction, her choice of fabric & the outstanding combination of ethereal jewelry (which I believe Alison creates or collaborates on) & understated palette of soft browns and parchment. My favorite was a vanilla halter dress with glistening black ribbon trim that merged into tasteful bows around a keyhole. Alison's designs are simple & ethereal, sexy & elegant. Bravo should bring her back for Project Runway season 4!

Thanks,
Glory
