The winning bid for the coat was Brooke, for her sister in law, It turned out they were in attendance for her nephew, Danny, who was a recipient of a scholarship.

Hello Emmett!
Meeting you at the gala last night was really great. I saw your coat across the room when I first arrived and I was in love with the colors and style. Little did I know that my aunt would win it for my mom or that you two attended school together and I would meet you! I had such a great time at the gala yesterday and I was so excited to meet you. Also, I was surprised to meet someone taller than my aunt!
My mother is in love with her coat. She confessed to me that the first thing she did when she woke up this morning was try it on over her nightgown. :) She's really excited about it.
I'll write to BPR about meeting you. I was so excited about it that I am sure it will make a funny post.
It was great to meet you, Emmett, and I look forward to seeing you again in the future!
