BPR at the Project Runway Finale Show - Part Two - Continued

Laura K: The judges came out first and posed for the photographers at the end of the runway. I didn't take many photos of the actual show because experience has shown that the professional photos are always available quickly and they will be much better than any of mine.
Still, I took a couple just to show you our vantage point.

Tbone: Is it just me, or is Michael Kors looking more and more like Karl Lagerfeld every day?

Laura K: You know the order: Sweet P was first. She was adorable and emotional. Who doesn't love Sweet P? Her collection was very colorful and impressive.

Scarlett: She was very choked up when she was giving her introductory speech. She definitely charmed the crowd. I liked the use of the purple and yellow. I always love that moment when the designer comes out at the end with their model.

Tbone: I personally liked the grape/gold color combo on her two openers but my favorite piece in this collection was the next to last, a black shouldered gold dress with an art deco motif.

Laura K: Chris was next. I loved his looks, he used several models from ANTM. The most distinctive feature of his collection was his use of hair as fringe! I have read many reviews and this has been referred to as "horse hair," "yak hair," "human hair," and "extensions." When I saw it - I suspected that it was a nod to his wig-making background. I liked his styling too. The models looked beautiful and glamorous.

Scarlett: Chris's intro speech was very moving, heartfelt. I think everyone got a little emotional listening to him. The hair on the garments was a little shocking which I suppose is the point. It also felt a little 'Wookie' to me - I can only explain this as a byproduct (for me) of my youngest son's obsession with Star Wars. I did love the hairstyles on the models. I remember thinking that the stylists backstage had to coif 60(!) heads of hair!

Tbone: Chris had on a killer jacket on the runway. It was nice to finally see the designers dress themselves well for this show. Chris's collection really benefits from motion, I don't think the photos do any justice to the amount of "hair" he used.

Laura K: Jillian was next. I was surprised that she did so much knitwear! She is truly multi-talented. Her collection was very original. I have never seen anything like those knitted helmets. Have you?

Scarlett: Jillian's looks surprised me the most. Obviously she couldn't do knitwear during the regular season of Project Runway. And that little dress she was wearing? ADORABLE! When she curtsied and skipped out at the end I was completely won over.

Tbone: Completely unexpected and for me at least, a bit disappointing. Certain elements I loved (the opening belted trench and the closing gown), others had me scratching my head (the odd Trojan headgear and the knitwork). She looked stunning in person.

Laura K: Rami's collection was impeccable. I was thrilled to see Amanda Fields modeling one of his most beautiful looks.

I could not stop staring at the golden-lace gown near the end. How did he do that?

Scarlett: Rami seemed the most comfortable giving his speech - not nervous in the least. His color story concerns me but the dresses were works of art. The last two dresses made me gasp - they were simply breathtaking. And the woven details on the dress worn by Amanda Fields was stunning.

Tbone: Rami smooth talked Posh, Heidi, Nina and the rest of the women in the audience with he started out saying "I think women should be cherished and treated as beautiful muses every day." You could hear the fawning throughout the tent. I used that line on Mrs. Tbone when I came home and she laughed in my face! Having said that, he backed it up. The collection was flawless and flattering to every one of his models. Amanda was amazing!

Laura K: Christian was last, of course. His first looks were black, black and more black. I leaned in to Kaitlin and said, "I hope he does more than just black..." Then we began to see the ruffles! Yay. The feathered dress was an absolute show-stopper. Unbelievable! I don't know the budget that the designers received, but Christian certainly created a very high-end collection. Ferocia Coutura indeed.

Scarlett: When he remarked to the crowd that everyone looked so fierce, I just wanted to hug him - so cute! I was surprised by the hats. The back of the last feather gown is just stunning. His whole collection looked very expensive.

Tbone: I loved the techno music he chose to go with this collection. When you finally saw the first whiff of color and ruffles on look #7 (!) it was like getting hit on the side of the head. The belted coffee and cream gown was my absolute favorite look of the whole show. Ferocia did not hold back one bit.

Laura K: I couldn't choose a favorite. I loved them all.

Scarlett: I loved them all but some I loved more than others. That's way too diplomatic, no?

Tbone: You girls are so chicken! Each collection had winners, but Christian was playing on a different level. He's my pick for the winner.

Team BPR: Congratulations to all of the finalists! Bravo!
