Field Report from Jacksonville - Continued

We had a lot of time to kill before the show began. A friend of mine and her daughter couldn't come. I met a woman in line who was dying to see the show but hadn't made reservations. I offered her my girlfriend's seat which was great because I was able to walk around with my little one and she and her friend held our front row seats for us. She was a godsend - and later, she was chosen in the Q&A portion of the show. She was very stylish herself and a really nice woman. We had a lot of fun.

When the show started, Tim came out and saw us in the front row and blew kisses to my girls. The show was great and I have to tell you I was very inspired by the collection. Most of my day is chasing a two year old around. This collection showed me that there are fashionable and stylish choices for even my lifestyle.

Many of the pieces also transitioned easily from day to night. I was really astonished at the ease of this transformation. It was so clever how they did it too. The model would come out in an outfit. She was carrying a shopping bag with her. They described what she was wearing and then in the bag would be a different pair of shoes maybe a different belt and a hat. Making these few changes completely transformed the outfit!

I learned a lot from the show. It showed me that fashion isn't necessary Vogue all the time - there are options for me out there! I don't have to be stuck in Old Navy khakis and a long sleeve V-neck t-shirt. As I said, it was very inspiring.

My husband was out of town but truly, if he was with us, I would have used the picture of us with Tim Gunn for a Christmas card! I was hoping to get Tim with just my girls but my little one was having none of that!

After the show, we were able to redeem tickets for a gift. It was a Liz filing case. It can be used to store fashions out of magazines/catalogs. Caroline took hers to school today for show and tell. It's funny, I had been using the fashion show/Tim Gunn appearance to get her to do her homework. I don't know what I'll use next week.

Thank you for letting me be the field reporter for BPR. It was a real thrill!
