Tim Gunn in Washington DC - Continued

This spoof on the Cinderella story and what was called the "Spoken Word Salsa" event for the Olympics (yes, you had to be there), had Tim come in as the fashion consultant to the dance costume. He mentioned that it was "ferosh" and that the three "elves" Snip, Snap and the last one had to make it work. When Tim first came on the stage, he entered to large applause (led in part by me.). I was there as a volunteer usher, and when asked to do this show, the moment I KNEW that Tim was going to be there, I, of course said yes.

Unfortunately Tim was not on long enough for my taste, but joined the rest of the cast on stage for a bow. After the show, I appoached Tim who remembered me from his book signing tour last year. He said how much he loved Arena Stage and also asked me to send regards to everyone at BPR, which I am now doing. We spoke briefly about the new season. He said the contestants are equally as strong as Season 4, but in a different way. There was not much time to talk last night as he was called away to talk to the "Big Guns" of D.C.

Signing off.

Renee
