The show was about to begin and we were encouraged to take our seats. We were delighted to discover that we were seated in the center of the first row of the balcony. We had a fabulous view, not only of the stage, but also of the crowd below. It was really fun to see who was seated where and with whom. Seat-fillers rushed to occupy the chairs of guests who left. It was a long show with lots of starts and stops. Some of the award recipients were serious and gave thoughtful speeches while others treated it as a joke. This is Bravo after all. I particularly enjoyed the "Rear of the Year" award. Ahem.
Kathy Griffin was very entertaining and gorgeous - especially in her Nikolaki gown. Tim Gunn was her more-serious counterpart. I felt like they were looking directly at us... then I realized that the teleprompter was practically in our laps.
The highlight of the evening - especially for Project Runway fans - had to be the fashion show.
