The models also looked at home in the gallery, posing on short pedestals next to the artwork. I can’t describe the intriguing hair design – look at it yourself. Model extraordinaire Amanda Fields told me that she really liked the hair design and LOVED her outfit. I agree! (By the way, that IS Diana Eng in the picture. She’ll have her own fashion show in March to highlight the clothes in her new book "Fashion Geek".
The collection was inspired by phoenix and firebird legends, rising from the ashes to a time of rebirth. Here’s Malan talking about it:
What made the show even more amazing -- Malan collaborated with balloon artist Larry Moss for the event. As you walked in, you encountered a life-size balloon model wearing a Breton-inspired fashion made made of balloons.
