You know I was excited to see my friend Nick Verreos on the judges panel! I love working with him and just hanging out, as you can imagine! I know there has been controversy about one of his comments on this episode, and let me tell you, he is not only professional, but has fun and has a wonderful sense of humor! I am sure he didn't mean any ill will with that comment! Guess who I ran into in the Tampa, Florida airport, of all places? His sister, Rita Verreos! She was Miss Venezuela, was on Survivor and now is hosting on HSN! Luckily we were flying on Southwest where you can pick your own seat.. so we sat next to each other and it was so fun to re-connect with her!
I recently was out and about in LA and ran into Tabatha, from Shear Genius and, of course, Tabatha's Salon Takeover! I love her show because she actually changes people's lives! Never afraid to dish out some tough love, but it is truly love! She was nothing but nice to me and was so gracious to take a photo! She loves the fans!
Who else did I bump into? Erika Macke - the model who was on this season of PR and then did that Arby's commercial! Again, such a sweetheart. I had seen her around LA, of course, at the auditions for commercials and such that would require a red head!
I am so excited to see the finale! Not just because I was a part of it, but because I want to see how they showcase the beautiful work of these three talented ladies! Althea, Carol Hannah, and Irina were so proud and you could see they were incredibly happy to be there.
When we filmed it back in February, they couldn't be saying the names a lot backstage, that would definitely have given more people than necessary the knowledge of who the finalists are! So, they called us "Team Red, Team Blue and Team Green." REALLY! Even for the hair and makeup looks. "Are you on team blue? OK, good, here's your make up artist." That kind of thing. "Team Red models? Team red models line up over here..." You can imagine.
