Amanda's Take - Season 7 - Episode 3 Continued

Notice which models wore the signature looks.. I bet you three of these models will be the final three!

I LOVE MILA'S SUIT! Modern and incredibly made. I also am impressed that her signature look was not a dress.
Sophia... really. Early mornings until late nights. That is the schedule for every tv show ever made! I know she were just trying to have a private moment on the phone with her man, but she was aware there was a camera there. She is beautiful and a great walker.

I am not sure if you all have been watching me on Launch My Line, but you can see that I curb my talkativeness when the time comes to be professional. Also you may have noticed the designers are always happy to have me as their model and are really excited to work with me. (I know, shameless plug, but I am just explaining how I've learned from my experiences and grown as a model.)

Favorite walks on the runway this week: Lorena, Holly, Valeria, and Monique! Monique is Unique! :) I love her positive attitude, her look, her story and of course her walk!

The reason WHY I love these models this week:
Monique: The most confident model on the runway. She looked powerful, strong, yet also looked like she was having fun! I especially love the way she posed at the end. This girl really understands not only runway modeling but also how to work a camera. Important for modeling on a TV Show!

I am sure Lorena's designers, Mila and Jonathan told her to walk out and hold her arms out to the side to show off the jacket, but she did it in a way that was natural and seemed as if she just decided to do that on the spot. I love how she turned side to side at the end of the runway to make the tail of the coat sway in the most flattering way. I love the way she let her arms hang behind her as she walked away as well. Very cool and her body movements enhanced the shape of that coat.

Holly did what I like to call a sped up gown walk. Walking in a gown usually requires a slower, regal walk with grace. She did this but because of the more fashion forward element she may have felt the need to add a little more 'tude to it. That was done perfectly by incorporating the gown walk but faster. LOVED it.

Jay and Maya's Signature look model, Valeria, was amazing. She walked out in the slow, controlled way that makes you take notice of a dress that is already noticeable. Jay and Maya's dress could have overwhelmed another girl and perhaps made it look like it was wearing her, and not the other way around. This model had the confidence and calm, cool vibe to have the perfect understated walk. She knew that it wasn't about her, it was about this gown and she sold it by being more of the impeccable mannequin, tilting her head slightly to pose away from the tall ruffles at the end of the runway. I love how she posed with her hand on the hip of the simpler side of the dress to show off the bare, open sexy side! I love how her extra turn at the end of the runway took longer, the more time on stage, the better!

I wish Ping's model had done that. Brandise is a great runway model, and she said she wish Ping had just listened to her. I know she wanted to make her designer happy but I think she should have trusted her gut and done it her way. :)

I'm off to New York City this week! I'm looking forward to fashion week and getting a snapshot in front of the new "Project Runway Avenue" sign!

Love,
Amanda
