Christopher's model Rose really understood that this is a quirky, fun departure from the ordinary fashion show, and I absolutely adored her little pose, turn and grin as she showed her ring at the end of the runway. She was so smart to help him out in the workroom and let him know that an anklet is not modern. She did it in a kind way - the designers and models have built up a rapport by this week and trust each other a little more. I love a model who is smart and wants to help her designer do well!
BUT - OMG! Cassie rocked my world. It didn't hurt that Andy's dress was to die for. From her pose behind the scrim holding her sleek ponytail up and letting it fall in a beautiful way to her strut to her serious expression that just made the look come together. And I'm not just a fan of hers because she is a redhead!
It was a little lame that the model paired up with the designer who got eliminated was just out too. Oh well. It's just unfortunate for Samantha who is stunning. Project Runway has always changed the model selection process from season to season and even within the same season. They have to keep us guessing what will happen to the models too!
Betsey Johnson is not only one of my favorite designers to wear, she is also an all around amazing woman. Did you know that she is a Grandmother and still does a cartwheel down the runway after every one of her fashion shows? Oh yes people. Savvy businesswoman as well as life of the party!
She was the perfect judge for this week's challenge! Thank you, whomever casts the guest judges, because you are definitely getting it right!
I must also say that the styling and makeup on the models this season just keeps getting better. The designers are also listening well to the advice from the judges and going with styling that is more up to date. Fabulous job L'oreal and Garnier artists!
