Amanda's Take - Season 10, Episode 4, Continued

I actually like Hayden Panetierre, but why not just have a design expert be the guest judge? Rachel Roy is a huge name in fashion. She obviously knows what she is talking about and isn't afraid to let us know the truth. Rachel Roy saved Raul. I kind of wish she didn't. Is anyone else beyond annoyed that when better designers decide to leave the show, they bring back someone that was recently eliminated? Raul was sent home for a reason. He doesn't have a design aesthetic to speak of and his clothes are horribly made and look cheap.

All of the models this week are starting to get used to being on the runway and on camera. I can see more comfort in their eyes. Sonjia's model has always delivered and this time was no different. She is in great shape and really knows how to pose at the end of the runway. She gave it a classy walk - the wrong model could have walked too "hippy" shaking her hips too much and making it look cheap.

Alicia's model always makes me like the look more than I do in the workroom. Alicia may not have been a standout designer thus far on Season 10, but her model is continuing to help her sail through to the next round time after time!

Melissa's model was instantly forgettable. That outfit ate her alive. On a different girl, this piece could have really shown up in a better light. Perhaps Melissa designs more for herself.. she is blonde and bright eyed.. she will stand out in black, grey, or any color. Her model does not.

Buffi's model was ok, the hair NOT. It looks like they had time for makeup and the model did her hair herself. Even she was not able to hide how bad that dress was.

Fabio's model was clearly "healthy." Skinnier models are healthy as well, people. She is a beautiful model and perhaps Fabio should have made that dress for HER. Instead, he used her body as an excuse, not an advantage. She was not too proud of it though. Tacky red lipstick.

Gunnar's model is amazing! She let her walk be strong yet kept her expression light. She actually made that skirt look easy to wear. (No one would wear that skirt!)

Nathan Paul's dress was such a disgusting color it was hard to even focus on the design or the model. She wore it well.. thank goodness for her long blonde hair covering up some of that awful sad cape. Blech.

You already know how much I adore Dmitry's model. She is that classy woman on the go. I can imagine her jet setting off to Europe - but not in that. Perhaps that dress was a little "old" for her. More "lady lady" than young hip and cool.

Ven's dres this week was wacky. Strange fit around the zipper. His model is elegant and understated and that works very well with his dresses. I am not sure if that is a direction from Ven or her natural way. She was a little stiff on the way back though. She was DEFINITELY wearing the wrong underwear. Models must wear thongs to provide no pantyline on the clothes. Having a full panty is a big "don't" in a dress this form fitting.

Raul's model was somewhat awkward and that styling was horrendous. Her hair and makeup were more "Seventeen Magazine" than Marie Claire. Where did he get the idea to do pink lips? NO. Raul, you cannot save a design with blue heels and a hot pink lipstick and clutch. She's still a hot mess. That belt makes her look bigger.

Elena's model looked great in her design and actually gave it an understated chicness by not overselling it.

This is the best that Christopher's model has been yet! Wow. Super stunner. HOT. She took her time, had the right expression.. looked confident and poised. WELL DONE!!

BEST Models this week: Christopher's model, Gunnar's model and Elena's model!
