Amanda's Take, Season 10, Finale - Part 1 Continued

Episode 13, here we go again!

Oheka! What a season! New, experimental, f*&;?#in amazing.

At this point we have seen the models do what they do best. Now it's their chance to stand out by making their designer stand out that much more. To have their moment in front of the judges with the fashion elite - and the world - watching.

We finally heard one of the model's names! Fabio's model is Hannah! She really worked that coat well by taking if off coolly and walking down the runway to only put it back on again upside down!  Flawless!

Dmitry's look from the Avant Garde challenge reminds me so much of Armani. In fact, he should work for Armani!

Christopher's model really made his look elevate. She felt the drama of the evil queen and used her body to emulate the mood.

Sonjia's model almost made the look too happy. She could have added some drama to it by being more serious and less saunter, more strut. Also I think her hair should have been slicked back.

Melissa's model was only ok yet again. She is just so "cute" that it can be a distraction from the avant garde elemants of her design.

As Tim visits the designers' homes I look at each piece and am enamored and also thinking - who would wear that the best? What type of model? I think how she would need to show off the piece.. the body types.. There needs to be a variation to the models to keep it interesting but also a uniformity to tie the story together.

It has been the trend the past 5-8 years to use the young, anonymous, early teen years model who just showed up from a far off place. Perhaps the casting directors like the element of discovery. The problem with this is that these girls do not have experience to really efficiently sell a look. Some designers have stopped caring how a model walks.

I prefer the shows that involve NAME models because you not only see the clothes but you feel something from these girls. It's exciting!!

If there were a store for each designer on Spring Street in SoHo, NY, I would go shopping in Dmitry's store.

Dmitry's first model is awkward and that dress is wearing her.

The second model is incredible yet again. We discover her name is Cat! WOW. I love her hair cut! It makes her look even better which I didn't know was possible!

His third model is very strong. I love her walk because it, along with her expression add to the drama of the leather!

Christopher's first model, who he had all season, has the confidence now of being on all of these episodes. She is so much stronger. She actually made that boring little piece interesting.

His second model was ok, a little too sexy for the look that is already sexy.

His third model, who was Sonjia's model all season is Alex! She was very sophisticated in this look.

Fabio's first model was only OK for me. She seemed to really not feel great in her look and it showed. She was not very enthusiastic about it, that's for sure.

His second model was Elena's model from this season and she looked especially strong here! Very distinctive features.

His third model really was the perfect girl for that dress. Dreamy, flowy, sinewy.

Melissa's model from all season is Lacey! I love hearing the designers describe their models by name. They have become their muses. How did I never notice that Lacey had such a great body? Amazing!!! I hope she books a major swimsuit catalogue after this!!

Her second model was a little too "attiTUDE" for that look. She made it too sassy and not STRONG enough. Melissa did the right thing by putting her in the most covered up ensemble!

The last model was so stunning in her dress! Very sleek and chic. I love how she took her time and seemed to really understand the look.

I am so happy all four made it to Lincoln Center for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week! Looking forward to the finale!!!
