BPR Field Report: Austin Scarlett Bridal S/S 2014, Continued

Today, Austin Scarlett presented his S/S 2014 bridal collection in true Austin Scarlett form...

We enter the Campbell Apartment...in Grand Central Station. (Fabulous!)

We are greeted with a smile and a mimosa, entering a classic, one-of-a-kind, space.

To the left five women stand tall with beautifully tailored wedding gowns, all different and stylistically unique.

After a few minutes of appreciation, each model moved to a new place, creating an courteous air that felt special to be a part of.   There was plenty of room to appreciate each gown.

Thankfully, Austin and I have met before, therefore he knows I am not crazy. My word bank empties in just a few moments when speaking with Austin, as I gush and find myself saying- “I just love you Austin, you're just doing it right.”

And besides the embarrassment I suffer from, I think maybe he knows what I mean.

Even so, I did manage to ask him a few questions and he gave us some lovely answers.

“So many young women today want to revel in that one moment and I love creating that for them.” ...says Austin Scarlett.  What more can you want from your dress designer?

Austin carefully supervised the presentation of each item of apparel, fixing and draping, for optimal viewing.

Each dress is intended to fit all styles and shapes of women.

Some models wore fascinators on their heads which represented different time periods.

A lot of sleekness but also a lot of fullness, a lot of softness but also sculpture.

Mini plays with iridescence and wonderful silhouettes.

Looks were topped off, literally, with french twists designed by Jaqui Davis.

As Austin Scarlett should be thanked for creating such memorably different creative looks of fashion he should also be commended for creating such beautiful moments in life.

Every person who comes to his shows or wears his garments, is able to enjoy a vivid experience where all five senses are engaged.

For me, not only memorable clothing but such a memorable scene. In my mind, this event was beautifully planned and well executed.  This  thoughtfulness will stick with me. I can’t wait for the next one.

Thanks you Austin. Keep being you.
