This was brilliant! We had a duty to our readers to find out as much about the process as possible, but our agenda for the day was so jam packed that we wouldn't have time to squeeze it in. It would also give us a chance to meet each other ahead of the group.
So with a bit of nervous excitement, we set off from our hotel Saturday morning for Penn Station. Walking down 6th Avenue, we turned on 34th Street and hey, look at that! Lined up along the sidewalk outside Macy's was a long line of designers, models and hangers-on. This must be the Project Runway casting call line! And then I noticed something else.
Cameras, microphones, booms and ... O.M.G! Daniel Vosovic! He was outside being filmed talking to the designers in the audition line, looking through portfolios. I became frantic. Where was Laura and Scarlett? Where was Janthe DanFan and Milton? They're going to miss him! Where was my sister? Was she really going to kiss him?
This was turning out to be an amazing start to an unforgettable day.
