Kevin's mom is an artist. She says that as a boy Kevin was creative, warm, helpful and kind and that he could never go to sleep angry at anyone. He has one older brother named John who is married and has a daughter named Emma. John is also very creative.
Elizabeth believes that Kevin's first fashion design project was a shirt for his brother. In college he was an actor and he has always been very artistic.
If you have read Kevin's bio you know that he has designed a denim line called KJeans. Right now he is also working as a bartender at Fred's in Manhattan.
It is obvious that Elizabeth is very proud of her son. We are all very anxious to see what he will design on Project Runway.
Steven's mom Sharon tells me that he is the youngest of four siblings. As a child he was "always with a pencil in his hand." He was a loving son. She believes that his first sewing project was in grade school when he made a stuffed animal out of some "glittery fabrics." (I just LOVE that!)
Even as a very young child he was very observant and attracted to beautiful fabrics. When he was perhaps only three years old he remarked that "Mrs. Knupp has a beautiful dress on today."
It's clear that Steven was destined for a career in fashion!
Thanks to both of these proud moms for sharing your stories with BPR.
Of course we are equal-opportunity bloggers! If any of the other moms would like to share anecdotes about their talented children, please write to us!
